About JMD International

JMD International (JMDi) is a privately owned Consultant Engineering Practice which provides independent technical advice and reliable, cost-effective solutions in the fields of Vibration, Fatigue, Acoustics, Noise and Computer Modelling and Analysis.

JMDi is part of the JMD Group Limited and was established to provide services to our rapidly expanding international group of clients. The original JMD Group company, JMDynamics Limited, was established in 1998 in Glasgow, Scotland, where the Group is currently based. JMDi currently have a permanent presence in the United Arab Emirates in conjunction with our partners National Oil MWE. This office is based in Abu Dhabi, where JMDi personnel are well-positioned to respond quickly to the requirements of all of our clients in the U.A.E and the wider Gulf Region.

The organisation currently employs 20 members of staff, the majority of whom are skilled engineers ranging from Consultant to Graduate Level. With over 80 years of experience in the field of dynamics which can be brought to bear on any noise and/or vibration problem, JMDi's engineers are able to quickly identify, assess and resolve dynamics problem before expensive failures occur. In fact, our range of Vibration Risk Management services allows potential problems to be rectified before they even leave the drawing board.

Our engineers' field performance and capabilities are enhanced by a continuous and effective support from our office backup team, consisting of Office Management, Financial Support, IT Support and Technical Information Support. Together, the office support teams provide a committed and efficient service, allowing JMDi to respond to clients' problems with ease and efficiency. The Technical Library operated by the JMD Group is one of only a few such resources to continue to be manned on a full-time basis by a dedicated Information Officer. This underlines JMDi's commitment to ensuring that we are leading the industry in our chosen areas of expertise.

JMDi has many years experience in the international market, with recent projects including on-site assessment work in the U.A.E. with GASCO, in Qatar with Occidental and RasGas, in Azerbaijan with BP, in Angola with Esso, in Vietnam with BP and in Kazakhstan with TWI/KPO. JMD Group also has an impressive list of blue chip clients in the UK market. Current clients include BP, MOUK, Shell, ExxonMobile, Kerr-McGee, Total, BG and Nexen to name but a few and we are proud of the level of repeat work obtained from these clients across many different assets. In addition to the work performed in the Petrochemical Industry, JMDi's services are equally applicable to the Power Generation, Construction, Iron and Steel, Shipbuilding, Pharmaceutical, Electronics, Paper and Printing, Cement, and Manufacturing industries.

The JMD Group has established close links with integrity management companies and is actively engaged in changing the perception on vibration within these organisations so that vibration issues are seen as a full and integral part of the overall plant integrity, and not the preserve of specialists alone. This results in increased awareness of the vibration threat potential and a marked improvement of the overall integrity of piping systems in all target industries.
