IOMAC Workshop 2006

Two JMD engineers were in attendance at the International Operational Modal Analysis Conference (IOMAC) workshop held in early May in the city of Aalborg, Denmark. The workshop was sponsored by Bruel and Kjaer, Structural Vibration Solutions and Aalborg University and supplements the larger International OMA conference, to be held every two years.

The two-day workshop served as a platform to introduce new concepts and also presented the opportunity for JMD personnel to gain insight and direction from those involved at the cutting edge of this rapidly advancing technique.

JMD is an advocate of OMA, using similar techniques regularly to identify the mode shapes of vibrating pipework and structures. JMD believes this powerful tool will lead to increased accuracy and shortened analysis times and is pleased to be involved with its development.
