JMDi Complete VRA Surveys of Kizomba Installations Offshore Angola

JMD (International Division) has recently successfully completed full Vibration Risk Assessment (VRA) work on Esso Angola's Kizomba A and B installations, located off the coast of Angola. Each Kizomba installation consists of a TLP and FPSO unit. The scope of the assessment included the hydrocarbon envelope and business critical utilities of both the TLP and FPSO. Due to the application of effective design practices, a very low level of vibration risk was found to be present on the installations.

Two JMDi engineers performed the work over a nine week period with each FPSO taking approximately 3 weeks to complete the survey and each TLP taking approximately 1.5 weeks.

In addition to the VRA numerous formal vibration assessments were completed during this time.
