The first annual Middle-East IQPC Asset Integrity Management conference which was held at the Beach Rotana Hotel in Abu Dhabi on 26th and 27th June 2006 has been hailed as a resounding success by Gold Sponsors JMD International (JMDi) and their Middle-East partner National Oil MWE.
JMDi Principal Consultant Jim McGhee was the conference co-chairman for the first day when he also presented his paper on preventing and managing piping vibration problems. The JMDi paper was very well received by the conference delegates and prompted several meaningful questions and discussions. In conjunction with the conference, JMDi hosted a pre-conference workshop based on vibration awareness which was attended by 25 of the conference delegates.
Over 100 people from companies spanning the globe and not limited to the middle-east attended the conference, most of whom visited the JMDi stand where they showed great interest in the services provided by JMDi and in the large supply of Scottish shortbread!
Many varied and interesting papers were presented during the conference, and all of them were well accepted by the delegates. In general, the feeling was that the conference had been a very worthwhile experience and had provided a great opportunity to share experience and learn valuable lessons from peers and service providers.
JMDi would like to thank the delegates who attended the workshop and gave their time to speak to JMDi staff at the exhibition stand.
