About JMD Rotordynamics

JMD Rotordynamics (JMDrd) is a Consultant Engineering Practice which specializes in the provision of solutions to dynamic problems involving rotating and reciprocating machinery.

JMDrd is a strategic Division of the JMD Group Limited and was established to allow the increasing number of machinery related enquires received by JMD to be more effectively and efficiently addressed using a workforce which specializes in and is dedicated to the resolution of these types of problem.

As a strategic division of the JMD Group, the Rotordynamics Division has access to a vast array of resources and in conjunction with specialists from the other JMD Group divisions can provide a complete spectrum of complementary dynamic problem solving skills in an integrated manner.

The original JMD Group company, JMDynamics Limited, was established in 1998 in Glasgow, Scotland, where the Group is currently based. The organisation currently employs 20 members of staff, the majority of whom are skilled engineers ranging from Consultant to Graduate Level. With over 80 years of experience in the field of dynamics which can be brought to bear on any noise and/or vibration problem, JMDrd's engineers are able to quickly identify, assess and resolve dynamics problem before expensive failures occur. In fact, our range of Vibration Risk Management services allows potential problems to be rectified before they even leave the drawing board.

Our engineers' field performance and capabilities are enhanced by a continuous and effective support from our office backup team, consisting of Office Management, Financial Support, IT Support and Technical Information Support. Together, the office support teams provide a committed and efficient service, allowing JMDrd to respond to clients' problems with ease and efficiency. The Technical Library operated by the JMD Group is one of only a few such resources to continue to be manned on a full-time basis by a dedicated Information Officer. This underlines JMDrd's commitment to ensuring that we are leading the industry in our chosen areas of expertise.
